Epson FX-85/105The Epson FX-85/105 9 pin dot matrix printers were launched in February 1986 to replace the FX-80+/100+ and discontinued in November 1986 when they were superseded by the FX-800/1000 respectively. They can print at up to 160 characters per second and include near letter quality printing and the IBM world trade character set as standard. Each printer has two sets of DIP (Dual In-line Package) switches located under a corrugated plastic cover on the top right of the printer. These switches control certain printer functions and default settings, the details of which are listed below.
