Epson DFX-5000

The Epson DFX-5000 was launched in June 1988 and introduced into a niche market sector. It was built around the specification of a heavy duty mini or mainframe printer although the price made it affordable to the PC environment. The printer has two sets of DIP (Dual In-line Package) switches located between the front tractor sprockets. These switches control certain printer functions and default settings, the details of which are listed below.
