General

Toner

8 Mark IV - EP-E Toner Cartridge Black
8II/8III/8sx - EP-S Toner Cartridge Black

Known Issues

LBP 8III - Garbage text at top of page

When printing, a line of garbage text appears at the top of the page. This can be caused if the printer is plugged into a scanner. Ensure the printer is connected directly to the computer.

LBP 8II/8III - Cannot use Adobe Type Manager (ATM) fonts

You must be using Adobe Type Manager v2.51 or higher.

LBP 8II - Shifts print by 0.3

Use the Canon Windows 95 Drivers, the shift problems seems to appear with the Microsoft Mini drivers supplied with Windows 95

LBP 8III - Complex Data error 21

After upgrading to Windows 95 from Windows 3.1, keep getting the above error. Download and install the latest drivers, also in the driver make sure you set the printer's memory.

Printer Software

You can download the Windows 3.1 and Windows 95 drivers from Canon's South and Southeast Asia website. For later versions of Windows the drivers should be built into the operating system.
