The printer does not print There are many reasons why it may not print. Listed below are some of the tests you can perform.
"Splitting" rows of Text or Graphics When printing text, a blank line appears halfway doen the page, or when printing graphics, blank lines appear within the image. To solve this, ensure that DIP switches 2 to 11 are set to OFF. Also make sure the printer port is set to SPP or Normal in the Computer's BIOS. Paper error light comes on when switching on printer Take any paper out of the printer and start the printer again. Insert the paper and press on line. Ensure the paper is inserted correctly, far enough over to the left if no sheetfeeder attached, over the right if the sheetfeeder attached. Check the DIP switches are set correctly and the correct emulation has been set on the PC. Notes - Switch 1 - When you use the optional auto sheet feeder, set the selector 1 to ON. Switch 2 - When the selector 2 is OFF, the printer prints in a higher density graphics print image (full bit-mapped print). When this switch is on, the printer does not print the odd bits in mapped odd slices or the even bits in mapped even slices. Switch 3 - When the selector 3 is ON, the printer makes an automatic line feed when receiving a CR code. Switch 6 - When the selector 6 is ON, the printer makes an automatic carriage return after a line feed is performed. Switch 7 - When the selector 7 is ON, the printer accepts high resolution 24-dot all point addressable (APA) graphics commands similar to those used with the conventional 24-dot printers. Switch 9 - When the selector 9 is OFF, the printer is using the USA character font (437). When the selector is ON, the printer prints using the multilingual fonts (850). Switch 10 - When the selector 10 is OFF (mode 1), the printer emulates IBM X24E control codes. When this selector is ON (mode 2), the printer emulates Canon BJ-130e control codes.
