Adding a 540 MB Hard Drive
1. Change the HDD Type in BIOS to 48.
2. Use the ARROW keys to manually key in the hard drive specifications.
3. Use the numbers of 1024 cylinders 16 heads and 63 sectors which are the maximum for non-enhanced IDE systems such as the AcerNote 730. If larger numbers are used the drive will not format properly.
4. Run FDISK and set the partition to 490 megs and active. It is important not to allocate the maximum available space. Space needs to be reserved for Phoenix Miser to create its own partition.
5. Exit FDISK and FORMAT C: /S /U
6. Run PHDISK.EXE
7. Enter BIOS and enable both the power saving mode and standby suspend features.
8. Reload the appropriate operating systems and programs.
